Mission Statement
 
The Student Council is the main governing group of the student body. We represent the students on a variety of levels and serve as a line of communication to the administration as well as the representative of service and charity to our local community. We strive to make the Coleman Elementary experience as enjoyable as possible by:
  • coordinating and encouraging all student activities within the scope of Coleman Student Council.
  • stimulating and developing good citizenship and democracy among students.
  • encouraging social development through participation in campus life.
  • encouraging leadership through service.
 
The Coleman Student Council provides the main forum for discussing student concerns and ideas. We are dedicated to developing leadership skills and enhancing co-curricular life. In addition, students are given the opportunity to interact with faculty, staff and administrators. The Coleman Student Council is responsible for representing and serving the needs of the student body through coordinating student activities and charity fundraisers and holding monthly meetings.
 
Members of our Student Council are elected by their third, fourth, and fifth-grade homeroom classmates. The officers are chosen by the members of the of the Student Council body. Student Council elections are held in September.
